HTML vs. Mailchimp?

Which method should you use to send your email newsletters?

You can either use your own CRM, or you can use Mailchimp’s bulk email service.

METHOD 1: CRM – Do you want to quickly send the newsletters via your own CRM without making any changes? Use Method 1. It’s fast and easy in most CRMs (tutorials provided for each CRM on the HTML page). You’ll be pasting the finished newsletter as-is. Your personal/contact information is merged into the newsletter, but editing is limited, depending on which CRM or email service you’re using. If you plan to make a lot of changes, use Mailchimp’s editing tool, then copy the newsletter from Mailchimp and send it via your CRM (see below),

METHOD 2: MAILCHIMP – Do you want to make custom changes to the newsletters? Or do you simply not have a CRM? In either case, use Method 2. Mailchimp* provides a visual “drag & drop” editor that makes customizing easy. You then have the option of Copying your customized newsletter from Mailchimp to send via your own CRM (as in Method 1), or you can send it directly through Mailchimp. Here's how to copy your newsletter from Mailchimp to paste into a CRM.

*Mailchimp is a separate entity from Fast Newsletters. Mailchimp is free for up to 500 contacts stored in their system. If you exceed 500 contacts, you’ll either need to upgrade to a paid plan, or start using a different system, such as a CRM. Some agents use both.
